The Verge

Thank you so much for listening to The Verge on Radio ENRG. It has been my pleasure to work with Sebastian on the Verge & I would love to share with you some free music from my up & coming album and also demos from my personal stash of recordings.

I've been talking a BIG GAME about my new album. By "BIG GAME" all I've said about it is that "it doesn't sound much like my older music and my skill set has really improved." I wrote all the songs, produced them myself, play every instrument; I don't even ask for input from friends. I've spent a long time honing my craft, and never understood my own style. When I moved to industrialized Bushwick, I was working a job that I could not stand. The Bushwick/Bed-stuy border was VERY VERY dangerous and I had no business living there. I would get on the train and see blood smeared all over the windows. A man threatened to kill me while the train conductor locked herself in her cabin. I was so new to New York City, I was a baby. I didn't know how to stand up for myself and Bushwick, in that time, it really changed me. From a bright, fun loving girl into someone who wasn't afraid to knock someone out on the subway. This city, it changed me. And you can hear it in the music. I got dark.

Thin Patience is track one of my new (untitled) album. You are the first to hear it. I hope you enjoy it from the bottom of my heart.

These tracks were recorded with one mic for my reference, but you can have them, too!

This was the first time I'd played through or sang either of the tracks all the way through.

Both of them were those special instances where lyrics and words just meshed together perfectly and instantaneously.

If only they all worked out like that!
